Safari LE 377 no start hot

wifes machine, exc shape, very low kms, runs great, shut off hot and let sit for 5 minutes, no start, got fuel, spark, and good compression. change plugs, try everything, finally starts for no apparant reason and runs great, anybody got any ideas?
has Ducoti ignition, have checked resistance on all components, all checks out, good pulling hair out.

Brother in law had same problem with his boys older polaris turned out to crank seal good place to start

i used to have an older 377... wouldnt start for ch!t hot less i held the throttle a bit while pulling. worked like a charm and has on every doo ive had since
