You are complaining about some surface rust on a drive shaft? its not like its rotting through, nor will it ever. it will be gone after the first ride and more show up on other parts after it sits in your garage after the first ride. If you spent more time doing your research instead of looking at that rust you'd realize you overpaid at $16g+ OTD as well.

Thanks Boss! Glad you chimed in (not sure if you read the first part of the thread)! Just curious what every one else is paying for a 163 black/red no e start, sway bar disconnect, tarp, gas can, belly pan and rear storage. Oh ya the price was 16 something sorry I said 17 with GST and pdi and all that other crap for your info. Plus I did my research THANKS! Why do you think I bought another skidoo?

Go to any of the truck dealerships and look under some of the $85000.00 1 tons. It'll be harder to find a truck without rust than with.

The alternative is to ship everything coated in oil like they do on overseas cargo like pipe. Nobody wants that headache either.

I've only ever had to clean my clutch after buying a new sled. Maybe they do and the dealer cleans each sled when they pdi it, but I doubt it.

My 163 x no e start without a single accessory was 16200 otd. Since I snowchecked dealer gave 500 to spend in the store and I got the 4 yr warranty. I have been waaay to excited to look at my driveshaft for rust and I probably never will. Maybe my buddies can check it for me while I catwalk right by them up the slopes.

Rust? Especially after loading a hot sled into a cold trailer at the end of the day and condensation happens! You can't blame skidoo or your dealer. The real culprit is mother nature! She is the one who decided that Oxygen + Atmospheric moisture (water) + Metal = Metal oxides or rust! She is cruel hearted

17000$ out of the box?!? Wow you got bent over big time!

Sent from my iPhone using

Why people insist on telling other people they got a bad price is beyond me. Do you know what went into the deal or what went on the sled???...Were you sitting there as the deal was signed? Or what they are getting with it?? Give me an accessories book and Ill show you a summit for 20 out of the box.. or higher... Does that mean I got bent over becuase I made my sled the way I want it?? Or does it mean I got bent over becuase I decided that if Im buying a new sled im going to get it just the way I want it? Who are we to judge??? I dont know that guy Nor do I know where he got his sled but im pretty sure he wasn't looking for anyones opinion about what he paid for his sled or weather or not we all though he got a good deal.

I can bet most new vehicles that anyone bought have rail dust on them too.. Most easily seen on white vehicles.

We live in a ****ty environment

HAHA you think this fit and finish is bad. Buy a Cat or Pro. you will be BEGGING for a rusty driveshaft after paying 16 g for one of them.

Sorry, clay911.....new Cats are NO WHERE near 16 g .....fit and finish is just fine (better than my '13)....and I have yet to find any rusty parts...lol..... nice try though
