Once again you show that you are much more mature than you give yourself credit for. I agree that this kind of language is every where. but that does not make it acceptable. Yes they are just words. but they also show the people around you what your morals are. Speak foul mouth in public and you are perceived as trailer trash.

I agree with you guys there. It's tough these days but the kids hear it. Like someone stated already, most of us heard the foul language growing up. My kids know not to speak of it. I get caught the odd time by them, then I apologize. I don't find fouled mouthed 5 yr olds very funny. BUT, it's the talking about doing the 20 yr old girls, and I could imagine what else was said right. That's the kind of crap I don't need my kids hearing. I will stand up anytime and speak my mind if needed. I was at the Langdon skate park with my kids last summer, and their was about 5 20-22 yr old men(should I say BOYS) and for 10 minutes I listened to them talk about partying, doing drugs, and girls going down on them. I had my 8 yr old boy there. So I got up from reading my book(haha), and walked over to them, and I said "hey I know you guys are big macho studs but do you think you could keep it down, I don't want my boy hearing, or talking about this later". All they said was sorry, and continued on. So I told them to be aware because the little kids look up to them and pay attention to what they say. I was ready though to take my boy home and go back there. A beating is never a bad thing as long as it's worth it. I'd rather die on my feet then live on my knees. Stand up for what you believe in.

For the ones that posted about it not being a big deal with the foul language you are just as big of morons that were in the restaurant. This is BS and if you were raised with proper ethics this is wrong, or else you were raised with your parents wacked on some thing because this is not normal behavior.

It all depends on the age Id say,and wether there boys or girls,my dad started talk to his budds with me around at about 12 or13,they were all loggers and the language was graffic and foul but when my older sisters were around they all watched there words, not polite to talk like that infront of girls or woman,as far as makin a scene in a resterant,I never fond that cool but you get that many young guys together they just feed off each other, yup you just gotta say hey enough and most time they cool it if not just make it known to all there that its not acceptable and embarass there aZZes buy askin if they would talk like that with mom around, always works, Ive had to do it afew times when out with the daughter,I dont put up with that sh#t.

i agree with ya man i was raised in a logger family and work in the patch so i know what its like to bs with your buds and alot of the time there are some bad comments but in public there is no place for that, its just common curtosy and respect, if you wanna run you mouth and swear giver hell but respect others around you and keep in mind they might not appreciate that kind of stuff... just my 2 cents

The manager already talked to them and it didn't help. There were no kids there and they were 30 plus years old. The staff and the customers were disgusted and talking about the "rude sledders". My point was to hopefully have "similar" type read and think about how others view their actions. I hink a few of you have replied.

There is no excuse for talking foul in front of women and kids in a public place..If this is the kind of talk that you use at home in front of your kids that is fine with me but the kids in the restraunt were not their's they were someone elses. Grow up and show some respect...I'm an oil patch guy myself (almost 20yrs) and can talk as foul as anyone on here if not worse but I know when and where this is acceptable...Keep the trash talk to the parking lot...LOSERS

i take ofence to that. i live in a home ware you work for EVERYTHING and you come last. some cant make the money to get better in this econamy. i sold my new mtn cat last year to pay for the house payment. so i dont want to hear thrailer trash coments cuse im probebly twice the man you''ll ever be

I apologize if I offended you. In no way did I mean to hurt any ones feelings. I realize that not everyone can afford to live in lavish homes and that trailers are an affordable option to some. It was unfair of me to use that term and for that I do again apologize.

Dude, there's people that live in trailers and then there's trailer trash. Lots of people living in trailers aren't trailer trash, lots of people living in houses, big houses (especially here in Alberta) ARE trailer trash. It's more about attitude than your place of residence....If you drive a 1 ton diesel with 30" tires, 3" or larger smoke augers and a lift kit and don't drive offroad; then maybe.........:d:d:d

I think the biggest issue here is not a bunch of guys sitting around swearing and being a-holes....it's where they are doing it. The boys and I have a lot of conversations loaded with the "F" word as a filler and it's usually in the shop or on the hill. If you have a group of 5 or 6 guys and not one of them has the sense to realize they are in a public area and put the rest of the crew into check, well that's just a lack of.....

If your mommy and daddy did'nt teach you that...you've got problems;)

This is a good thread............all about growing up with proper "morals", "ethics", and like stuckenough said, "respect".
I have a 15 year old that i'm trying to bring up properly, and it is a tough world out there, and have experienced the "pack" mentality many times even within his high school - hearing kids telling teachers off, while they're just walking down the hallways. Now if you get that same kid alone, he wouldn't be saying that same crap to that teacher....
Everyone should be aware of their surroundings/environment, and judge their behavior accordingly.
Our repair shop, for example, has 2 seperate environments: The front reception area, and the back shop. If you ever want to learn how to swear, walk into the back of most repair shops(especially ours) and you'll see what i mean.
This backus racing group were all old enough to know better, but decided to feed off each other and thats how problems occur. It can happen with any group, doesn't matter age, or gender. That is the "pack" mentality.
These guys were old enough to know they shoulda taken their conversation about their triumphs outside, or at least talked a wee bit "quieter".
May have been worth a quick lean over, and just a quick.... "hey guys, ya might want to keep it down just a little, if ya don't mind". I don't know if this would work, because i wasn't there, and can't judge the "safety" factor first hand, but i have done this before. By not being confrontational, but just making a suggestion, usually doesn't cause problems, and it doesn't sound or appear like you're getting in their face.
It does give this dealer a bad rep though, as their name has already been spread across a very popular website, and if it was my dealership, i would be very upset.
My trailer and truck are very recognizeable, and i find myself withdrawing from many road rage incidents or confrontational situations, simply because of the "identification" factor.
I could and should rant more, but i guess it's someone elses turn....... Lol ............. Next!
