bought another 92 500 EFI today from local towing yard, needs seat, tank, hood and windsheild, new battery and it started 3 pulls.

found a hood today and a XLT seat with good foam. will put on a new cover I had ordered for last yrs 500 that burnt, hoods not great.but better than whats on it. pictures to follow. untill we sell the acreage at barrhead. there wont be a nice sled in the garage.

the first sled I bought on my own was a 1998 XC700, white, oh **** yeah bud, that thing ripped!!! I wish I still had it, thing was a monster on lake Winnipeg!!!

Frankenwedge, 93 belly pan and hood, 96 chassis, 96-98 680 motor, 99 suspension, 01 chain case. 1 3/4 x 136" longer steering post and a riser. Fun sled to ride but it needs some real shocks on it. Can't seem to get my pic to post though.

drained & filled gas, and oil,installed new battery,windshield, and a DG pipe. shined it up quick with hand cleaner, will take to car wash tomorrow. found a 96 XLT minius motor with reverse and a Extra 10 in it for $400 too.

just put reverse and a new tuned pipe on the ole 500. going to load on trailer ,take to car wash. is terrible under the hood. then take to Carson lake and go for ride. the trails around there still have lots of snow that no ones been taking advantage of.

sold that 93 and found another 93. with 1900 miles..was in a shed 18 yrs..never started.. drained all fuel. injection oil. WD the cylinders..blew out the fuel lines.. few gallons of Premium ,hooked up the booster pack and nothing...no fuel;; so installed a high pressure automotive pump and walla 2 pulls. new windshield. greased it up installed another reverse kit from Ebay ..took to swan hills poker rally 3 weeks ago,,ran great. rode real rough after riding that 07 last yr at Swans Rally. so found a nice newer seat from RPM> tryed it today on my river ride.. see difference in our trail from 2015 to today.. Kana Oilfield here in Whitecourt did the work.

bought a 98 for the wife. has elec start.,reverse. seller was told the complete reverse kit needed replacing because it was jumping out of reverse..all it needed was the little chain guide on back of the case? my son had one in his tool box, so ordered a new chain as well. still waiting for it. added a high windshield ,greases it all up. dont think the cross shafts were ever greased? not good. 2300 miles on it. might need bearings now.

I had one of these and loved iT. No reverse and that sucked but the engine was rock solid. My new pro axys is sure different and fun to ride

Honestly , one of the best sleds I've owned was a 93 xlt! First year sled that held up perfectly. Put almost 12000 km on that triple without a problem!!
