I was riding this last weekend and would notice my RPM's would drop 1000 to 1200 on a steep pull in the powder. It is very noticable and I don't remember this happening last year. I was told it was my clutch set up, but again don't remember this issue last year. I am running around 7800 and it drops to 6800 or 6500. Any suggestions?

The sled is a 2004 rev 800 with 4600 kms and basically stock except for a can.

7800 seems low, check your clutches, good cleaning, secondary buttons, spring, primary buttons, spring, rollers dosent take much to screw up performance with a couple worn parts.

Thanks, I was just reading other posts about the DJ Kit. I think it's time for an upgrade.

you wont regret it,also check your bushings on both clutches,no use spending money on a kit with other worn stuff...

Clean the clutchs. I had the same problem on my first trip last year. The sled would scream up the trail but when i started climbing, as soon as i would hit the deep fresh snow she would bog way down. I got the clutchs cleaned and a new spring and teflon washer in my secondary...no more bogging.

Thanks, that's exactly what mine is doing. I will clean the clutches for now but will make sure to put the DJ clutch kit in too.

I think the biggest problem was the secondary sticking and not back shifting.

Same issue with the boys sled. Basically it was dirty cleaned it up and it is way better. But now need a new secondary found a little crack.
