depends on what you want to do to the rev my 06 was destroying the xp`s last weekend but i have quite a few dollars in. if you buy a rev get the slp pipe and can cheaper and more pony`s. if you want to pm me iam selling my 06 rev at the end of the year too many kids have to give up the sport.

Stock for stock an XP will beat a rev all day. A few mods to a rev and it will beat an xp. Powderchowder has an 06 with 156 16'' 2.5 challenger extreme, p-85 primary and team secondary, dynoport pipe and can, and V-force reeds and he walks all over our buddies 09 xp 154.

if you get a chance take both of them out for a ride for a while and see which one you prefer, I ride an 06 159 with alot of mods and I weigh 240 without gear, I ride with a group of guys 5 of wich have xp,s some with mods and a couple stock, and they all run differently but in the deep my rev outperforms them all and I out weigh most of them by atleast 60lbs. another of there buddys rides a stock 07 rev with a 144 track and he also has an xp but prefers the rev again its preference and set up. good luck with your choice and you cant go wrong either way.

listen to the guys that have upgraded they are all happy to step up but also enjoyed thier revs,, I have 2 revs,, one for sale 07.... and I like them I have also spent some time on a XP,, its the latest technology so yes it should perform better and its 50lbs lighter...

but the guy who says his rev killed a xp,, well let someone else drive the xp half the time its rider skill,,, I have had my $6500 REV go over things that $40000 sled wont,,, or should I say the rider wont or cant because the sled sure as hell can

XP is lighter but REV is a tad stronger,,, both are great. I do like my revs

I have an 06 and an 09 and I loved my 06. My boy rides it now. I far prefer the 09 now.
As far as climbing stock for stock the XP will win everytime. If you put the same mods on both the XP will still win.

of course a modded sled will perform better (sometimes) and anyone saying there rev beats there buddys xp have you spent time on a xp. theres not realy any mods i would do to a xp they work prety damn good out of the box.
i put a clutch kit on and changed the bar and riser added a few vents basicaly the same as my rev.

i ride with guys that have arctic cats revs and xps and all of us ride the crap out of our stuff. i have a slightly modded rev that is crumpled into a heap after hitting a rock. it works great good sled goes anywere.but it needs a total front end rebuild thus the reason i bought a new sled i didnt realy notice much difference the first few rides but i wouldnt look back now. just seems like the xp pulls harder up hills i like how far forward you can get if you want. it handles better theres not much i prefer on the rev now,

i guess the revs are a bit stronger but the modular design of the xp allows replacement of almost anything. if you realy crumple your rev its time for a new tunnel and bulkhead. xp drill and bolt.

each to there own in the end its rider ability but why not have a sled with more power less weight right out of the box. and the price people want for there old revs its only a bit more for a xp. my only gripe with the xp and o7 revs is the cylinders are one piece so if you squeak a cylinder you may be replacing the whole thing instead of one jug.

I ride 06 rev and rode yesterday with two 09XP's. All 3 sleds are stock with MBRP cans. Rev isn't even close to the xp. Heavier, less HP and just can't keep up on the hills.

I have a 04 Rev 151 and a 06 Rev 144. Cant justify spending the extra money for the XP. I guess I dont see $4k worth of performance gains with the XP over the Rev ??? Both great sleds and fun to ride....Dino

I was at Renshaw this weekend and swaped machines to try my brother's XP.

My '06 MXZ Renegade X vs. his '08 MXZ Renegade X, both with 1.75" tracks.
The XP has more noticeable power than mine. It climbs better than mine keeping in mind they are not summits and I do not care to go where he climbs but there is not much difference between a Renegade and a 146"ish Summit. My '06 rides much better than the way he has his XP setup.
