Refusing Smart Meters in BC..?

Well, i just got an energy monitor from torbran in Victoria, it's a slick little unit, and if I find out that I'm being overcharged, that thing is coming off the wall one way or another. I'll sue the bastards! It's just a money grab anyway. They can't get away with that!

They must be different than the ones in alberta they installed ours couple years ago and are using the transmission line for the read and no change in billing. Pull it out send it back to them and get a pair of linemen gloves and a hot stick and some 1/2" copper pipe build 2 jumpers to put in the meter socket and the hot stick to put the fuse back in after u are done. Be sure to get the meanest dog u can find a use the power pole as his home. U should be good for awhile.

Normal 3 1/2' framing nails worked great for jumpers behind old meters! One leg only - power bill in half.Dont try it on an electonic meter,they can tell!

You could always buy your power from a different company. Oh wait.....no you can't. :nono:

you guys complaining about higher bills with smart meters in BC do remember that there was a rate increase in April of last year right ?
