Had Summitric and family over for Turkey Dinner and we did the Deep Fry thing. It works awesome, we use it at the lake all the time.
1 hour and 10 minutes and and the turkey was completed.

I was in your neighborhood as I was going to slip by and say hi, and I noticed I couldn't get too close as there was a fire truck in front of your house. So I pulled out my camera and took a picture.:D:D

hmmm, I think I am trying that this weekend then. Did you marinade your steaks??

Thinking a big 2" thick slice off the Bulls arse doesnot need much !!!! Does it ? :D;) ;) :)
On a SERIOUS NOTE.... Not sure what, Will have to ask the Bride, She looked after the preparations. Just make them thick & a good cut.

No, haven't tried the injection thing...Got Beer?... What do you inject?

We have tried, Cajun marinade, butter and herb, Italian, etc. Found the best bet is to actually take italian salad dressing and use that, strain it out and inject it into turkey. Only downside is the oil get dirty a lot quicker.

Do you guys strain the oil back in to a container to be used later. We've been told that you can to that and then store it in a cool place. Should be good for a lot of deepfrying.

At the lake it's a favorite...fast and feeds a huge crew.

Yes you can reuse the oil for several sessions. Strain the oil and store in a cool dark place The oil will get darker in color but should be good for 3 or 4 uses atleast. Sometimes the seasoning and the marinade will ruin the oil before any cooking does because the oil takes on the flavor or your last cooking session.

Yep, Zar has it right. I typically get 2-3 uses out of the oil, depending on how often it is used. I find if you store it right you can get a couple months out of it.

Looks awesome. Gotta say though I'd have done that on the lawn. Someone stumbles into the pot and the oil catches fire while on the deck.......goodby house....
