-50 is cold! i'll bet the Lamb man had the woolies on! coldest i ever got was a balmy -46, no way of really knowing? up north of utikima, surveying power lines! no temp-o-meter available, rig guys were contemplating shutting rigs down, just in case(metallurgy, hoses etc. all i know was truck ran all day, heater on high, cardboard in front of radiator, floor was a block of ice. definitely no speeding or fancy manouvers that day. cold is cold, but that was nasty! -50 brutal!
