nooo, he likes to wash his firewood in the creek, to get the dirt off! picky! ha. No I have enough firewood for many moons to come. I'm likely wrong but i think we went through 4-6 cords at the house last winter. likely the same this year? poplar- clean burning, minimal sparks. less creosote, cheap, birch is good but expensive, heavy, hard to find! won't burn pine or spruce, total waste of my time. Dooo like willow, takes long time to dry, nice heat.

The best thing about firewood is that it will warm you up many times, cutting down , hauling, splitting, stacking, burning, disposing of ash and cleaning chimney.
my problem is I cringe at seeing money going up the chimney! Thus poplar is what I use. ha.

Big chicken, where is your sense of adventure, trailers not designed to be put away before at least a foot of snow on the ground!!!!
