This thread started out as awareness towards a recession. It's not about Alberta vs BC. The recession is global not just limited to Alberta. I find it hard to figure out why all the bashing back and forth would take place as we are ALL in this together. No one government or party is going to change that.

not sure where you get you info from as I have had this very same conversation with my best man who is a Hydro manager here in the interior. But I did a little study and here you go for stats.
BC has 1,764,635 households.
According to Police/Hydro there is approx 13,200 grow ops here in BC
Approx 51% steal hydro for one purpose or another = 6,732 homes.
Per your figure, 1 in 4 homes steal power. So, out if 1,764 million homes = 441,158 homes do not pay hydro. I think you need to revise your figures.
And while we are at it take a look at this graph. Looks like a lot of hippie pot smokers in AB too. Enough said from this BC guy!
