I just have an ssi y pipe
i have the SSI y pipe and pipe mod. Also the SSI high compression head. I’m running a 2 degree timing key. Sled runs strong. I’d assume the flash bumps timing. Mine works good with the key so the flash should be good.
Linderman just flashed my buddies sled with a full jaws set up. He says it’s flat out angry. 8400 rip ems all day.
When I’m done tweaking my alpha and sell it the next owner will kick ass.

Mine has the same mods as drew562, (head, pipe mod, y pipe, no timing key. I assume mine should still be good as well?

I spoke with Sebastien about this, the flash has not been done with these mods that he has been able to verify himself on how it worked. He says there are some folks that have done but without him verifying the outcome, he can’t say it’ll be ok or not. With all those mods it wouldn’t be recommended to flash unless you have A/F gauge and other ways to monitor.

Thanks for digging into this for me. I think I’ll stay put on doing the reflash for now and maybe do a bit of research, might revisit again next season.

What color are the springs. What is the helix?
Gold primary
dark green secondary
56/46 helix and magnet weights.
that’s the kit SSI sells.
now I have the dalton weights.

I’ve got a custom helix now. Pretty confident my alpha is one of the stronger ones out there

ok. That helix is no good and the springs are way too stiff. Typical american clutching. Let me know if your still having issues and I can help you out.

Gold primary is 145-290.
Dark Green secondary is so stiff. 190-260. The helix holds that 56 angle for .46 of the shift, and those stiff springs hold it back from shifting into the final 46 angle which is too steep anyways.

Cheers,

Thats $300 that wont do a thing, might as well double up and get the flash so the sled runs stronger...

8 hp for $600 is pretty reasonable I think.

Really?? To plug the ecu into a computer flash it and give it back for $600!?? I know computer programs cost money but how much? I want my sled to run properly so I will probably do it I just think that’s a lot of cash. Why won’t adjustable weights work? Go a bit lighter for higher altitudes and add weight when riding at home.
