Hey guys, I really want a new 3" track for my 163 XM. I had a 156 3" on my freeride and loved it.
Question/opion I was looking for is my 3 options
Most expensive (over $1800) 16" wide flex track
Cheapest ($1250) 15" wide solid bars
About $50 more 16" wide solid bars

Cost being a factor, I was thinking 15" or 16" solid bars. 15" better carving, but 16" better flotation.....
What do you think?

another idea was the 16" wide and breaking the fiberglass rods. Ive heard guys doing it, sounds like possible issues though.

I put a 15 w 163 axys track on my xm
3 days in Revy very good handling
chews good - doesn't swish out on steeper side hills
Night and day better than stock 2.5

This summer I did a 156 3" swap on my 2014 freeride, got a great deal on the track from mountain magic as they were blowing them out this spring, it's a 16 wide, I didn't break the bars yet as I want to try it before going through that. use the drive shaft from a t-3 ($350-380) way nicer then pressing new avoids on, also picked up a offset rear axle from cr racing to take up the slack. She's a tight fit, recommend having a buddy or 2 kicking around when it comes time to put it in.
