We just started growing the winter garlic the last 2 years and never cut the scapes. The bulbs didn’t grow very big so planning on cutting them this year. Are they supposed to be a certain size before cutting?

Brother in law started his own gun club. Voice activated clay throwing system and working on a relax area with BBQ and fire pit shelter. Joined his Monday night league and enjoying doing team shooting with pretty much all local guys. Cold beers after shooting is done.

you need to remove the scapes so all the growing energy goes to the bulb and allows it to grow nice and big
we pick them once they have curled before they get woody tasting
Pickled and feeze dried for meals during the off season

You didn’t happen to hear banjos playing while you were down there, did you? I love that area. Lived down there for several years, but it is totally out there.

Ya not too many people in the area. Just how i like it.

Ferry captain said we were the first to use the ferry that day.
