Cathedral Grove, just west of Port Alberni. I’m no tree hugger by any means, but the size of lumber through that boardwalk is awe inspiring. Some of the oldest trees around there are 800 years old. Very cool to walk through.

I’m a logger and I’m impressed, like to see parks preserved for this reason…simply awesome.

I have seen lots of them in the daylight hours, not flying just hanging out

There is an old house in Milo they call the bat house. Its always rented to different people because bats are flying around inside at night and freaks the people out. Then new people move in and the cycle continues. Lol

Myself as well. But this guy flew into the cabin, circled around a few times and perched. It was 2 in the afternoon. Stayed maybe 10 minutes, took off and went to a more familiar place probably.

No for sale sign, I didn’t ask either, just admiring as you don’t see them anymore.

Saratoga speedway. That’s the first time I’ve been there and, and I got the impression that they’re working very hard to make it a legitimate establishment. Highly recommend that you go.
