holy shyt ouch through board or missed board
missed, tuff old bastard, pulled it out with a pair of pliers, put 2 bandaids around it and went back to work. Notice the meat on the end of the nail
Nice. I just had my first nail in my hand last month. I was holding a header in place and got one of my guys to nail it. Glanced off the side and went deep into the side of my hand. Went in about 2 1/2”. That nail wasn’t in there for more than 3 seconds, grabbed it and yanked it out. Wish I had got a pic but was too pissed off to leave it in any longer than it needed to be.

Looks like the fresh patch job didn’t hold up. Gonna need to burn some rod I'm thinking.

Yikes! That’s a pricey boom, yah sometimes finding a replacement “used” boom from a fire damage or??? Is best. Lots of welding and time, never the same again, likely to crack elsewhere...move on.I had a “”welder,”” a term I will use loosely, scab a couple of plates across the bottom so we could safely get it out of the way and remove the boom, it broke in half, only the top plate keeping it together. New used boom coming and try to send this one out for repair, it’s an 850//uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190711/4e8f780840529fcc6305a84cb068939e.jpg
