Hey your Gulls are the number one team this year so farView attachment 285695
I would say it’s better ball than the gulls and dawgs. RiverHawks put on a great event. Very entertaining night out.
Met an old guy there that helps interpret the history. His name was Bruce. Super interesting to listen to. Kept saying if I’m talking too much to tell him to shut up. Haha. I could listen to him all day. He knew the owner before the government took it over to preserve it as a heritage site. As soon as he heard we were a farm family he was our best friend. HahaIt's a pretty cool place for sure. My relatives own the property Azure elevator is on that you would have passed on the way by.
My folks went on a camping trip towards the CNP a number of years back, and took my sister’s inlaws along. Quite a bit older couple that have both since passed. They all stopped for a visit at the Bar-U and found it quite interesting. They happened upon an old piece of machinery that nobody at the ranch knew what it was… except the old father-in-law..!! He actually used to operate one!! Apparently it was some type of horse powered hay stacker that would swing hay into the barn loft. The young girl that was their tour guide was so excited… then went and got the curator and they all took photos of old Arthur beside this machine. He left the ranch with a grin ear to ear.Met an old guy there that helps interpret the history. His name was Bruce. Super interesting to listen to. Wow A10 Warthog. Don’t see many of them in Canada. Anyone go to the Cold Lake show? I heard they were getting a US F35
Apparently the Cold Lake airshow turned into a static display as the smoke was too thick for flightsWow A10 Warthog. Don’t see many of them in Canada. Anyone go to the Cold Lake show? I heard they were getting a US F35
Yes. Brother went and they only got 2 planes in the air and then it was all groundedApparently the Cold Lake airshow turned into a static display as the smoke was too thick for flights
A10s are usually causing more smoke and fire than what’s in the air in our province right now. Lol. Sad they are retiring then. They are a dominant force on the battlefield.Apparently the Cold Lake airshow turned into a static display as the smoke was too thick for flights
I don’t know how many times we drove by that place but never took the time to stop. 20 years of living in Elkford and driving back and forth from Calgary and talking about stopping but never got around to it.Went to the Bar U ranch by Longview today. Great to see what old time ranching was likeView attachment 285710View attachment 285711
