This trip it was a random group of nine. There was a couple nice girls there. One from Italy. She's hiking up a storm before returning home in a few weeks.

Not too bad. The elevation gain is concentrated in the last third. A little bit of light scrambling to reach the peak.

They were cooling, soaking in salt water overnight in the fridge

There is water just about to the top of the slices/onions, I assume the ice is to make them crisp and keep real cool overnight in the fridge.
Drain next morning, mix the brine/spices and bring to boil then place in jars then a water bath in near boiling water for about 8 minutes. Easy peasy to make.

Driving home from nordeg. A Milwaukee truck pulling a trailer. Eventually had to pass him as the tire hit the asphalt a few times and I didn’t want to catch carnage all over my truck.
