So when those pieces fall off does the next bit have to chew through it or do you send down a big magnet, recover them somehow?

In our case we are sitting on a hard calcite stringer so will need to run in w/ a magnet & junk sub. If the formation is softer you can try drilling ahead with a new bit hoping to push the lost cones or junk off to the side of the holeSo when those pieces fall off does the next bit have to chew through it or do you send down a big magnet, recover them somehow?
This was on a service rig with cased hole on a re-abandonment drilling out cement. We had made it deep enough we didn’t have to go back in and recover the cones. So when those pieces fall off does the next bit have to chew through it or do you send down a big magnet, recover them somehow?

Offshore platformNo no, this is on the aux side. Driller just forget how to count, mousehole can only take 3 joints of pipe, he tried ramming 4 down it at full stick.
