I'm no expert, but that compressor wheel looks fubar

My thoughts too, not at all double deadly.

Still averaged 21mpg on the drive down to regina last night.

Then t-boned a deer halfway... the day was gay as aids.

Yeah, that compressor is fawked. How long do you think your filter has been trashed like that? Hoping the whole engine isn’t dusted.

An educated guess would be 2500-4000km...

Throw a filter at it and trade it in, after you get the front end patched up . Talk about a chit day is right. I’ll have a beer in your name.

You’re probably right about that, pricing on everything is way outta hand.
That compressor definitely looks sandblasted though, and if it ran without a filter that long, it’s safe to say that engine is on borrowed time. Run it until it won’t run anymore lol. Be interested to watch it unfold and see how long it lasts.

Yeah I'm gonna pull the intake right off the the turbo and have a good look at it. But likely gonna need a new one I'm thinking.

Gonna drop the oil and pull a sample in the process send that away and see what it says.... if there is above average metal wear in the sample well then I guess she's getting a new engine or Pay 30k difference for a new truck.

Fix or replace the turbo and the deer damage and run it. You would be surprised how much ch!t an engine can chow down and still be fine. Unless you run alot of dusty conditions then maybe a different story.

Ive been looking at a lamborgini Gallardos though. Decent ones can be had for 120,000 to 150000.

Yeah they are pretty sweet, and affordable as far as lambos go.

Reliable too, ive seen some with tons of miles on them.

Yep lambo parts arent cheap!

Neither are Mercedes though or any European car for that matter.


Might be better off with a new vette, but i like Italian cars.

Ferrari California is on the short list as well.
