early 70s I was just a kid but I remember my old man racing snow jets for Zoli Bereni, think it was called the North Am?

That is correct. Was the largest attended race in western Canada by racers and fans after Waldheim went away. Had a lot of good races at that track winning the Formula 1 class the last year.

Yes the Wetaskwin North Am raced there in 440 super stock.

Numb Bum race?

Yes, my last year of racing. Went on a independent team and that Banshee would pull soooo hard coming out of a corner into a straight. And won that race as well.

I miss the old ice racing days, the numb bum was a fun race ( except when it was -30 lol )

Lol me too, I rode with Riverside Honda for 5 years. There was a good group of guys to hang out with back then. Terry Carter got me hooked the numb bum and Murray Treiber got me hooked on Idaho, lol

I used to race an RZ 350 at Race City Calgary in the early 90’s...one of my fellow racers almost talked me into entering the RZ in the Numb Bumb. I wish I had done it...can’t for the life of me remember why I didn’t, but whatever the reason, it wasn’t good enough as I don’t remember being in the hospital at the time.

My guess was when I first looked at the pic was Mt. Robson. I haven't seen it very often but there was one time that it looked close like that. Not sure about the shape of the mountain tho'.
