c111 is 107 motor octane, so with the boost you want to run a 60 percent race to 91 octane should work fine

I've been running a 50% C12, 91 octane mix at 10 to 15 psi on a Turbo'd D8 with good results. You might want to look at getting Boondockers timming key. They claim you can run similar levels of boost with less race fuel.

I'm with Chrisco, and would think that if I'm putting on a million miles I'd be going the route of AV GAS.
If it does the job then you wouldn't have to go broke sledding with your turboed sled. AV $1.65 litre VS RACE FUEL $3.10-$3.50 litre, I'dd go the AV gas way.

EDven if u Run a 50-50 mix to run 12 psi, buying race gas would b cheaper than AV gas as u have to run AV gas straight to obtain the octane you need to run the boost you want. I run 50 -50 mix in my race gas M-8 and it works great. Just did the top end for maintainence this year but it really didn't need it. 3500 k last year. Either way............turbos aren't cheap but f$$k are they fun!!!!

Where do you buy race fuel for $3.50/L ?Had to buy a couple 19 L pails of C-14 the other day in Dawson creek $139.95 + Hst - $156.75/pail or $8.25/L Av gas I think is the way to go.

C111 is only 106 motor octane i believe, unlike c12-14-16 is true motor octane.

Actually all the VP fuel is rated the same. They all have a reserch octane # and a motor octane # and then what would be a pump octanne #. C12 is only 1 octane higher than C111. But the C111 is designed specifically for winter use.

AFD in Edmonton track tech 111 is about $57 for a 19L pail. And it 107 motor octane. They also got higher octane stuff to.

Your guys call, I prefer to run av gas straight and not mix, not to mention 91 is not alot cheaper then av gas now a days plus the cost of mixing race gas to it. Mostly I just really hate mixing.

well I'm good with av gas at 50-50 at elevation.....for the few cents difference from 94 chevron to the 100ll Av gas I'm going to run straight now!.....VP I found cracks to many exhaust pipes and is way to much money......Av gas for me! some guys say vp is better and some say Av gas is better......all I'm saying is I go with Av gas! not saying it is better but with the pro's and con's weighted......that is what I go with!

Av was still 50% more expensive at the end of last season than premium where I get it, but race is much more expensive than av gas. I hate mixing too but if you are going for a 3 day trip and do not have access to Av gas at your destination then you need to pack double the amount of jerry cans (for straight av gas vs 50/50 mix). If you are mixing 50/50 with race then you just bring the 50% race and buy the rest at the destination and mix there, no need for all the jerry cans. I felt like a fuel tanker last year driving around with so many jerry cans under the deck and it doesn't leave much room for gear etc. Just my thoughts

Im not exactly sure where your getting premium for 85 cents a litre. Pretty sure it's closer to 1.20. I am planning on just throwing a 45 gallon drum in the front of the enclosed. My big thing is I don't trust the fuel I'm getting from the gas station especially around home in the small towns.

94 chevron was around $1.30 last winter.....I was getting av gas for $1.46.....waiting on phone call to find out what av gas is right now at salmon arm airport but I heard it went up to 1.60ish but still cheap......I have a plastic rolling tidytank that hold 100 liters and 5 more jerry cans......good for 5-10 days depends if I run straight or mix it 50-50......

We were paying over $1.90/L down here last year for 100LL.
