start a new job in red deer on monday no more driving the deerfoot old boss is some p/ssed what a jerk after 16 years with the company and running the shop for 3 years would not give a raise and 4 weeks holiday
you gotta do what you gotta do. After 16 years one would expect a little respect and some form of compensation.

after 16 years you would think that they would let ya take four weeks.... either or 3 years with no raise move on.... bigger and better things out there ... and someone who appreciates ya

you bet it works both ways...if you treat your employees like that you better not expect any fawkin notice from them when they find a better home. Definitely deserve 4 weeks and a raise every year that at least matches our inflation rate. Good for you PJ

Sometimes an employer doesn't know how good an employee is until the employee walks off the job and tells the employer to find the next swingin dick to do the job. Although one thing is certain for ya PJ, its nice to have the skills and knowledge on something where you dont have to worry if somebody else will hire ya. Here in the states alot of the generation coming doesnt have any skills or knowledge of anything so if they are even able to land their first job they ride it out like a bad tick that wont go away cause if they left nobody else would hire them because their lack of intelligence. As long as you have skills for the job and smarts you'll never be unemployed, and if you are you arent looking hard enough.

Congratulations on your new job and good luck!
