I am rebuilding a 2008 800r ptek motor, i am going to use spi pistons instead of brp pistons. my question is should i use the thrust washers from the brp pistons set up i have not received the spi pistons yet and my past experience well ordering a rebuild kit i did not get thrust washers with it.
are thrust washers necessary?

Yeah i was further looking on brp parts website and i c they dont have them, and actually now that i recall i saw them on my 670 when i rebuilt the engine and it had cageless needle bearings, i guess they just use them on cageless needle bearings
