Putin is on tough times. Can’t defeat a smaller foe in Ukraine after 2 years and then yesterday his buddy Assad had to get out of Syria asap as the US backed rebels have broke through and taken back the country. Looks like he made it to Moscow and will live there in exile for the foreseeable future.

humiliating defeat for the master strategist, putin and a strategic disaster. it’s yet another negative for russia courtesy of the ukraine war.
they also lost their bases in syria and are evacuating asap before the rebels get there and wreck shop. that was russia’s only presence in the med. it also severely curtails if not eliminates they’re influence in africa. they’ll be seen as unreliable and accurately described as incapable of support.
the muj hold grudges. they’re still fighting over who was the rightful successor to mohammed from however many thousands of years ago hence the sunni/shia rift.
assad will forever be a target.
had no idea assad was an ophthalmologist.
guaranteed the muj ruling Iran are on high alert.

The world is a giant chess game. “Check” for the US right now I’d have to think.

i don't know simply because it's the chaotic mideast and all the players in front of and behind the scenes have as many different agendas and there's multiple religions amongst them all. the guy that led assad's overthrow used to be al qaeda but most of the the media is conveniently not mentioning that. the assad regime also had chemical weapons which will now be in the hands of the new jefes so we'll see.

No idea if Putin is a good or bad person , it’s obvious he’s devoted to his country as he should be. And this isn’t a love fest for Russia , but , Putin was pretty quiet , all seemed to be very competitive but no war threatened ……. Until , the Democrats talked Ukraine/NATO into placing missile bases along the Ukraine/Russian border , against the agreement in place. Putin said that contravened the agreement , Ukraine(USA) said FU. Putin got pissed , naturally, now we are here ! The Ukraine Is dancing to Biden’s tune and has been a hotbed of corruption for decades , between crooked government and oil companies ( some are same people),

Now to compare , let’s imagine that Russia were to some way convince Mexico or Canada to allow Russian missile bases along the U.S. border , same as happened there , how do you think the Us would respond ? Apples to apples , no ?

Can I get a link to this?
was wondering the same.
it could be that ukraine is corrupt, the war is just a moneymaker for all sorts of entities, etc. it also could be that a sovereign nation was invaded and the locals aren't pussies and willing to lay down. could also be both.
ukraine signed the trilateral agreement back in '94. at the time they had the world's 3rd largest nuclear arsenal. they gave them up in exchange for security pledges from several countries to include russia who was also a signatory.
old putin was great for russia, he pulled the country out of the ruins of the soviet union. is modern putin good for russia? plenty of reasons to counter that and from putin's point of view, his actions directly caused two countries to join nato that were independent and did things as they saw fit since '49, to join nato. the level of a phuk up that that is, is impossible to underestimate and one of them has a 1000km (don't know what that is in freedom units) border with russia. think about that.
the man is arguably the world's richest person but 1 in 5 russians don't have indoor plumbing.
i have no particular animosity towards russia or affinity for ukraine but the bs is outta control.

The phrase "that's what they want you to think" taps into a psychological concept called conspiracy thinking, where individuals believe powerful forces are deliberately manipulating information or events to control the population, often by planting false narratives or hiding the truth; it stems from a deep-seated distrust of authority and a need to feel in control by identifying hidden agendas.

or is that what they want you to think???
layers upon layers....
Key aspects of the psychology behind this phrase:
  • Distrust and suspicion:
People prone to conspiracy thinking often have a high level of distrust towards institutions, media, or authority figures, leading them to interpret information as attempts to deceive them.
  • Cognitive dissonance:
When faced with information that contradicts their existing beliefs, individuals may resort to conspiracy theories to maintain a sense of coherence in their understanding of the world.
  • Need for control:
By identifying a hidden agenda, people can feel empowered to understand and potentially resist the perceived manipulation, providing a sense of agency in uncertain situations.
  • Confirmation bias:
This cognitive bias leads individuals to actively seek out information that confirms their existing beliefs while dismissing or ignoring contradictory evidence.

Important considerations:
  • Not always harmful:
While conspiracy thinking can lead to harmful behaviors, it can sometimes be a way for individuals to process complex information or feel connected to a group with shared beliefs.

I believe this is about one faction of the US government , needing the political unrest and conflict to benefit them monetarily. I think the majority of citizens of Ukraine are victims of the US and their own government , and Russia has been manipulated into being the big bad enemy. Trump will solve this problem , and that’s causing the panic in the group that are pushing the buttons. Zelensky is at the beck and call of the manipulators . The Democrats don’t give a $hit about Ukraine , their interests are totally self serving !

That 600 billion in frozen (stolen) assets, some saying it is only 300 billion now. Is that legal or ethical? It somehow is being used to fuel the war even farther in Ukraine. You have to remember that over 70% of Crimea are ethnic Russians and about 30% of Ukraine speaks Russian, hell it used to be Russia so they have the most skin in the game. When nato moves in and hunter biden gets a get out of jail free card for that Burisma line, which some say was financing terrorism all buried. Nazi Freeland also froze bank accounts in Canada and got away with it. So i guess it is legal to steal money after all, who would have thought. But lets just stick to the media version...Putin and trump bad, Bidens good.
