All fair points. Even the Americans have shot down jets by mistake, in addition to the one you mentioned.

I think they have yet shot down a passenger jet though. The Iranians and Russians not so much. Its wildly rumoured shot down the jet that Russian Mercenary was on after he threatened to take Putin out. I guess they didn’t kiss and make up like many thought
