How would I get my M8 to pull over easier in deep snow? I have to pull really hard to do a power turn. What can I do to make that easier to do?

Normally the M8's are about the easiest sled to throw around. I would how ever check your pressures on the front shocks...I am running my sled at 60psi front right, and 65 psi front left. Another thing you can try doing is narrowing your ski stance by taking the spacer's and moving the to the outside of the spindle..Good luck!:d

I don't have fox floats on the front, so I can't adjust air pressure.

Thats probably a big part of the problem them m8s don,t carve good unless you have the fox floats!

We have two 2007 M8's with hyd Fox shocks and dont have a problem carving .....just need to understand what was said ie " countersteering"

Just steering any sled, they won’t carve properly

Similar technique used on road motorcycle’s

So to clarify ....... find a nice big open field .... head straight... weight distributed evenly on both legs….

Look left, lean left and push the handle bars with your left arm……(ie steer right)

Hang on while doing this because the sled will react to how much you lean and counter steer…..

Reverse and repeat….
Reverse and repeat….
Reverse and repeat….

If you do it right the first time and lean real hard you should lay the sled on it's side, fall off roll in the snow, and with a big smile on your face you will have the technique fiqured out....now practice practice practice....

If still confused google counter steering snowmobile's

I got both M8 and M1000 non sno pro as I hate the shocks! LOWER your front spring tension down so there is about 20-25 threads showing at the bottom! Be sure each side has the same amount of threads showing. You will love this set up. M series do amazing power turns!!

Yeah thats it.....we started it doing rockford turns on the drive way and found that reverse works so well on the M8's we can do it on the hill....

or it could mean look left, lean left, push left, then look right lean right, push right

Just razzin ya, I tried to make a funny

I think you meant spacers to the inside of the spindles!

With the spacers to the inside of the spindle your ski stance would be wider making it more difficult to lean and pull the sled over while counter steering.

The spacers would have to be on the inside to make the ski stance narrow. Spacers on the outside would make the stance wider. Took me a minute to picture it. :)
