Pulling a 5th wheel trailer with a lifted truck?

I am thinking of getting a 5th wheel holiday trailer next spring but my question is can I pull it with my 35" tires and 4" lift I want the trailer to sit level when I pull it. Can it be done or should I look at pulling the lift out. Anyone else pull a 5th wheel with a lifted truck? I want to go with a 5th wheel so I can pull my 2place behind it(in alberta).

Interesting,my first thought would be no but you would think there would be some kind of adapter or adjustment.Try calling a RV dealership,they would likely know if you dont get some positive feedback here in a couple days!

Ron's truck is lifted and he pulls a fifth wheel. He may be able to help you out with some info. The other thing of course would be to flip the axles on the Fifth wheel (bring the leafs on top of the axle instead of down below) this will add some height, I also know some guys that have had to put lift kits on their fifth wheels. I would measure the height from the ground to the top of your box, add 6 or 8 inches and see if you can find any trailers with a front height of that amount.

Yes you can, you just need 35" tires and a 4" lift on your trailer as well.

I wonder if it would feel top heavy if I were to lift the trailer?

I have an 02 GMC duramax with a 6" lift, 35" Tires, Then I added another leaf to the rear and air bags, then cranked up the front torshen bars. So im about 7". I pull a 32' fifth wheel. My fifth wheel has 16" rims and large tires stock, there almost the same size as my truck tires. I bought the fifth wheel because it had large tires and I was able to back right up and haul it away. Now my new truck is coming so I may have to lower the fith a little. My one word of advise is, Buy a good hitch, I have a Hijacker that allows side to side movement, a little more money but it makes a big difference when your higher up. I pull my small 2 place trailer behind which I can fit 3 quads on just perfectly. Im not sure if you could get an enclosed behind though. Here is some rules for Alberta only

Maximum trailer width: 2.6 meters (8 feet 5 inches). Mobile living accommodations - 3.05 meters (10 feet)

Maximum trailer height: 3.85 meters (12 feet 6 inches)

Maximum trailer length: 12.5 meters (41 feet)

Vehicle combinations permitted? Yes, up to 3 vehicles

Maximum combined length: 20 meters (66 feet)

I got 04 chev duramax 4" lift, 34" tires and my trailer 32' .It pulls like a dream.My trailer has adjustable spring hangers for different heights.One thing I did with my old trailer was flip the axles.Most trailers the axles are on the inside of the springs you can flip them so there on the bottom side. In most case it gives you about 3" more in height.

Just so you know, "Flipping the axles" is not quite right. Most axle have a crown to them and the brakes are made to hang down. If you actually turn the axle upside down things will not work properly. If the axles do not have spring perches on both sides, you will have to add them to the top so that you can then mount the springs on top of the axle.

That is correct.... referred to as Inverted
