I have a 2012 153" sno-pro proclimb. It seems to trench really bad in deep snow. I am thinking of putting a 2.6" or 3" track on it to try and help stop the trenching. Does anybody have any solutions to stop the trenching? Which aftermarket track seems to be working best for everyone?

I had major trenching issues the first year on my 2012 ProClimb too.

Here is what I did to fix it:

1. 2013 skid spec:
Drilled front mount to 2013 spec (3/4" drop on front mount) and dropped rear mount to bottom. This is KEY. It is easy/free mod.

Highly suggest installing Anit-stab kit from BDX: RecreationSupply.ca p/n:bdx50019 )

2. Suspension setup (stock setup from factory)
I have tried every setup and found stock to have the best all-round setup.
front skis: 70-90 depending on terrain & mood that day
limiter: middle hole
pre-load : 1/4 turn past slack (2-3 threads showing)
rear shock: 145 (depends on your weight)

3. Camo Extreme 2.5"

The track is amazing and superior to the PowerClaw (IMHO). ($450 upgrade after selling PowerClaw on kijiji.) It floats much better. You can actually control descents. If you go 3" you will need 7t drivers

After these mods I could actually crawl through 3ft pow without the fear of trenching under throttle. It was amazing how much this helped.

The 2012's seemed to have a bit of a trenching issue...we had a few in our group that experienced the same thing. However, the 2013's are not trenchers at all. I like the Powder Claw track myself - if you can make some adjustments closer to the '13's improvements you will notice some difference. My hubby is much heavier than me and his 12 trenched pretty good...he floats on his 13, same sled, different year. The small but major improvements they made sure added up to a much nicer ride. Sounds like geordiep has accomplished it with his. :)

I have a 12, my hubby a 13....noticeable difference in the way these two sleds handled in regards to flotation and maneuverability! So...we dropped the skid in mine to 13 specs, added a 2.5 CE and a anti-stab kit. What an absolute difference this upgrade has made, I definitely recommend it for sure.

I never rode my '12 with the PC track as I had a CamoX 2.5 on it when I picked it up. But remounting the skid in the '13 location and setting up the skid frame makes a huge difference from just jumping on a sled with a dealer basic PDI set-up. I run 70 PSI on the clutch side and around 66 PSI on the exhaust side up front. Also ditched the Float2 in the skid for a ZeroPro coilover set-up.
