Proclimb bog at 5200-5300 rpm

Just finished putting it back together after throwing new pistons in it. Went for a rip and it runs fine at all rpms except for in the low 5000s. If you feather it in this area every once and a while it bogs out almost like you hit the kill switch for a split second. Checked reeds and power valves, put new spark plugs and saw no obvious rubbed wires. Running premix at 37:1. Air temp sensor is in the air box by the throttle bodies. Clutches are clean and everything seems to be moving smoothly.
I was thinking maybe throttle position sensor?
I read through the other thread with the guy having bog issues and saw the talk about the throttle safety switches but it doesn't make sense for that to be the problem because of how specific of rpm the problem occurs at.

What did you get for a measurement on your power valve cables? You stated that you checked them what did you check, and what did you re adjust to? They need to be set at 36.5mm

What does your servo motor do upon firing your sled up? Does it cycle the exhaust valves? Does it cycle them 3 times? Or does it do nothing upon fire up?

Bog at the 5000rpm range on a Cat is power valve related generally. Check as already mentioned the cable adjustments.

I set the length to whatever they had listed in my 2012 manual. Can't remeber exactly what the measurement was but it was listed in standard so the metric numbers you gave don't ring a bell. Either way I think the cables are set right but I will double check. I did see that the servo was opening them when I hit the throttle with it up on a track stand but I didn't pay attention to what it did on initial start up. I will check it out and report back.

Now that I think about it I believe my manual said 1.377 inches +- so compared to your specs that wouldn't be right. These specs must have been changed slightly throughout the years. I'm assuming the manual your numbers came from were for a different year

I had this problem on my 2014 a few years back and it was found that a wire from the main harness was shorting out to the fuel rail and basically kept one injector wide open. So once you throttle through the bog and get to 3/4 to full throttle, it’s a non issue. Worth looking into though.

Sounds like your issue has been identified then, double check your measurement and set to 36.5mm on both cables. I don’t believe the part number or cable lengths have changed over the years but the spec most certainly would have. Again very very important measurement and setting. You should also get in the habit of having a look at your servo motor when you first fire up your sled as this will determine a number of things for you, the cat system is actually programmed to cycle and function test the exhaust valves upon fire up and depending on what the servo motor does on fire up will determine if your out of spec, low on voltage, high on voltage, etc etc prob one of the most overlooked things on a cat and in my opinion one of the most important checks an owner can do on his machine to ensure it is operating correctly. I see it all the time where it is not working correctly and or out of spec but yet the rider continues to ride it
