My son put ProTaper bars on and wants hand warmers. The original will be too long. Do we have any options that will replace the OE handwarmers??

Because of heat dissipation, it would help to insulate the grip and insulate the inside of the bars with expanding foam. To isnulate the grip, you can tape underneith.

I'll be doing the same here right away.

I have a '07 Rev and installed ProTapers last year. I ended up installing a stock '08 Summit heater kit (comes with cork insulator for the bars and wired-up heater elements) and stock '08 Summit grips. They were the right length and any Doo dealer should have them in stock. After you get the cork and heater element layed down nicely, lay down some electrical tape over top. The easiest way to get the grips on is to get them started, then blow compressed air into the hole in the end as you push them on. Works like a charm, good luck!!

I'm running a set of Renthal Fat bars(mc hi bend) on my 2010 summit x with advantech performance 8 inch bar risers.
I used 2006 summit grips as the heater elements are built in the grips, they just slip, you wire them up and giver...
