Hey all, im heading out to the Prairie creek area for may long and im just wondering what the snow conditions are like.
i heard there is still 1.5 feet of snow on the ground in the shaded areas. might be camping in the snow this year haha

Is it true that there is cell coverage in the area now?

Thanks for any updates.

It's deep out here with a fresh 6" and snowing right now :)
And any creek crossings are a NO GO unless you have a jet boat.

You will have to give us a update in a week. Weather looks like it may improve. Are the roadside campsites accessable?

We rode out at south Fork on the weekend, weather was miserable and a lot of the bush paths were impassible for smaller machines, ended up riding the powerlines the second day and I could still find enough snow to get stuck on some of the hills and thats with a 2" lift and 30"s. Wasn't unbearable for bigger machines by any means but found a ditch deep enough that I ended up chasing my seat as it floated away.

Sounds like its going to be a fun long weekend out there. doesnt sound like we will be able to do a rip up to the old fire look out with all the snow, even tho someone burnt it down last year, its still a nice ride up.

We went and dropped a trailer off in the prairie creek/falls creek area lastnight. Theres some snow on the river banks (barely) and some on the side of the hills that dont see much sun light. Theres still lots of dry clearings for people to set up camp but I'm sure they're being taken over fast. Have a good long weekend everybody!

Very busy out here already. We are near outwest campground. Great cell service. Creeks are high. Found snow on the trails in the trees.

Rained all last night.
