Anyway to test to see if it's broke? Is it like a 12v motor or what?

Easiest way is to hang the sled and run it. Not sure if it,s an 800 or 1000 but around 6500 to 7000 it should cycle .If i remember correctly. What is the issue? Might be a broken cable or out of adjustment.

I would check the clutching personally. I never had a mid range bog from a power valve. My mid-range bog was primary clutch. It was all there or a bog.... running the throttle to the bar, releasing and to the bars would help it along but not the right way to run a mountain machine on a trip to the mountains... I got soaked 1000.00 in Fernie for a clutch while on vacation sledding for a week. It kinda ruined my trip because I didn't pay attention to fixing the problem..

I broke a valve cable this past weekend in renshaw it seemed to run fine but had a bad bog around half throttle and very little power changed out the cable and she was good as new.
