i didn't even know the guy but me and my buddies helped him flip it end of end a couple times to get him out.

Those are all thorn bushes too.

I don't see any skis on that plane, maybe he should have tried to land at an air strip.

he came down just short of the runway... the pilot was ok, but the plane was a write off...

Good to here that the pilot was OK. Surprised to hear that the plane was a write off. Other than the vertical stab everything else looks pretty good. The prop isn't even bent.

Nope we ride instead of taking pics. Ran out of gas half way down the trail.

I think actually the prop was bent... and the left wing was a bit off kilter...
