Ok profits are down 82% from last year but I wonder how much profits were up the last couple years compared to prior the whole Covid retardation?? I had a dealer tell me a year or so ago that over 80% of sales were financed! Well who in their right mind is going to finance a $55k ATV at 11%! FFS a three years old with an abacus could have predicted the earnings drop!

BRP sold their marine decision recently. They are keeping SeaDoo though. Was told that they weren’t happy with profits in that segment for the work but one has to wonder if maybe they wanted to free up some cash flow as well? Sucks for the thousands of workers in that division. Not sure if the new ownership group will keep them on or how that will work.

Yeah not a big fan of new sleds sitting out in the elements. It may be a great deal but it’s still a lot of money. Then he will beg for 10’s across the board on the dealer survey
It has been in storage but I guess they left it out after their open house the other weekend. Under the hood is spotless so at least that doesn’t need to be wiped down.

It's a different market that BRP doesn't really perform well in. BRP thrives on name recognition in performance based markets that sell for premium prices. Aluminum fishing boats or pontoons just don't fall into that niche, just simply too much competition keeping margins down, and branding only goes so far for customers to justify a price premium.

Personally I think selling alumacraft was a bit of a mistake though. I think there is now room for a large OEM to begin building shallow water jet boats, Alumacraft had the expertise to design and build a new hull for such a boat, and Rotax the powerplant, the only real item missing is a purpose specific pump for such a boat, but Sea-doo has at least a good start to making that a reality.

niners 9R’s Nine First upgrades!

New thread!
Yes there will be a new thread coming! Lots of head to head against Bennys 858 and some must haves for the 9R. Will get it out of break in stock form then go from there. Should be wicked fast on the bottom end and hopefully in the low to mid 50 mph track speeds.

Are you going to put a P85 on it or roll the dice with the P22
