I'm sure it has nothing to do with 50k sxs's and near 30k sleds

I can handle the 30k sled if you can sell it used for a reasonable price. What burns me is paying full MSRP for a snow checked sled only to have it show up late. Then to add insult to injury you can buy a similar specked floor model at a faction of the price. It’s a good thing I love this sport, because a drug habit would likely be cheaper! Oh well …. The snow is going to start flying soon and we can stop our bitching!

Poo will pick up another military contract and they'll be good to go...

I agree with part of the article,,, unit prices need too come down if there going too compete in the struggling markets...

Toys are the first too go when the economy takes a down turn...

There will be some discounts on ohv's come this winter since most dealerships will be seeing new units this spring...

It’ll be a case of lessons learned for Powersports manufacturers. That time a few years back was nothing more than a one off situation. People that had residual money to spend all of a sudden got extra time for hobbies and bought during a supply fiasco. Fast forward a year from that, you have people who have spent the residual, no longer had the time or interest and maybe had a mortgage to renew at a significant difference in interest. Production has also went from lagging to near oversupply at this point.

I’m a big spending idiot most times. . I’m Flippin one to two sleds every year for decades. But I’m not dumb. Sleds aren’t worth 30 K. Only reason I’ve got a big screen turbo bar for 26K New # was cause I sold my 22 turbo for what I paid. Those days changed. Resale is toast.
I am now sitting on a 23 turbo R and a 24 backcountry X. I definitely won’t be buying new until prices drop by 40% to match used. or I’ll just fix these.

A friend of mine used to trade in every year with his dealer anywhere between 1 to 2k difference. He stopped doing that about 8 years ago when that started to change. Today when he buys sleds he just looks for low k used since he feels more value that way.

That was an interesting read, making me think I should halt my search for a second turbo sled

BRP is probably in the same boat! This goes for vehicles too, since Covid all the manufactures thinks they sh!t is worth big money.
Now they say the used car market is going stay high, just because the new ones are over the top. Not as much flush cash around.
