I want to get a new set of tires for my Hawkeye. the stock tires are junk. What tires would you recommend? I am thinking about 25" mudlites or 23" swamp fox.

Hawkeye is only 300cc, I would look into Kenda Bearclaws my self. I had a hard time turning anything over a 1" lug with my zuki 300 KQ before I sold it.

I wouldn't buy pluglites, after owning them they would never hold air.

My Wife rode a '97 Hawkeye with Mudlite XTR's 25" and that quad being so light and those tires, she could go through the mud as well as anyone else. Also those tires have about 2000 kms on them now and never had a flat. Alot of that riding west of Rocky Mtn. House. Just my opinion, would buy another set. Good Luck.
P.S I did some clutch work on that quad to compensate for the bigger tires.
worked great

I would look at a set of Superlites from these guys, Rej @ Super Grip ATV or Kevin @ Rapid Revolutions. I put a set on each of the sportsman 450's I have and they work great. The tirees have the same tread pattern as mudlites but have so many extra benefits such as a bead guard and more plys. These tire work great as far as I'm concerned as I ride as much trail as mud. Just My opion. Talk to those 2 gents they'll set you up right.

Taller Mud tires on a 17 hp Hawkeye? You won't be happy, I had an o6 Hawkeye and tried the tires off my 400HO and they killed the top end. Lost over 10 mph on top.

PJQUAD, 2006 was the first Hawkeye.
