I was gonna keep my mouth shut but I'm not the first member you've belittled and am far from the first member you're agitating with you're branding rhetoric. We all have our opinions and favourites for various reasons, but you are over the top.

I've enjoyed riding with you and Nancy, but when it comes to your attitude on S&M, you can be a complete imbecile. I've watched you call guys out like Pal Lem simply because of their grammar or the number of brand specific machines they may have owned.

You ask me how many Polaris products I've owned and brag of your 08,09,10,12,15 purchases. I don't know you all that well, but it sounds to me like you've got an expertise in buying machines, not maintaining them. Come back and tell us how much we all know when you've owned a machine for 10 years and put 10,000km+ on it. I'm willing to bet that's what most members want to know, as opposed to what rzrgade "thinks" is the best perforing machine for every application a person may envision.

To lend a little credibility to my Polaris quality statement, I also will add that I have not owned a Polaris but have been in care of two for several years. I've also had countless rides and camping trips cut short due to issues with brand new or next to new Polaris machines ranging from 2009 to 2014. ...long before your Mavirik purchase. Even then, I still considered trying a 2015 Scrambler before deciding to go for an Outty.

Do I (or anyone) need to own a Polaris ATV/UTV to have an opinion? Absolutely not!

LOL, Well said. My version is shorter, " self absorbed know it all with a this is the best cause I own one complex ".

We have always owned Polaris, right from the time I was a kid and now buying for my kids. I often pay very little attention to banter about "well you know xxxxxx is going to happen" or "they have so many problems with xxxxxxx". Its no different then any other brand, truck, holiday trailer, quad or whatever have you. I couldn't count how many sheep I have met that bought a product because of what was said in a online forum or a buddy said it was the way to go and end up being disappointed. Truth is, stick with what you like and what works for you.

I think they were kinda doomed from the get go. I rented one for a day, (made sure it was a sunny day), fun machine for a day rental, performs well , not terribly comfortable, but sorta useless for more than that. No storage, lots of annoying road noise with really crappy sight lines front or back. IMO, my bike for a trip is way more comfortable, safer with far more storage and greater fun , so not sure what the purpose was intended other than a half day rip somewhere with a can of beer each and no room for a rain suit. Not surprised.

please tell me that's sarcasm ric...?

not totally sure... The guys in the victory booth at the bike show implied the slingshot will be gone too.... He did say parts would be available for at least 10 years for victory etc, and there was always the possiblity that victory could be sold off as well?

No. Tell me that it's sarcasm that you're gonna miss them. Lol

I can't picture an uglier, more useless piece of scrap on this planet.

And people driving/riding them look ridiculous wearing a helmet in a "car".

I'm guessing that they were trying to compete with the Spider...... HUGE FAIL in my opinion.

Polaris took a beating with the rzr debacle...
Gotta cut somewhere!

This was my original post . I stand by it .
The fact is the rzr issues cost huge financial loss to Polaris....
They make there most profit in the OHV market ( specifically SXS)

So as I tried to point out previously ( unsuccessfully apparently) they are going to cut something , most likely a division that is under performing...financially.

Like say Victory , for an example ....

Once again Dean , why is this so offensive of an opinion to you ?
It would appear to me you are the one trying to take this thread off topic and in another direction/ not me ...

You're right, there was nothing wrong with your original post and I'm way off topic but found an opportunity to say what a whack of us were thinking when you were called out by LennyR. Despite my feelings of your on-line etiquette at times, I think you're a good guy and don't really want to feud with you. Maybe I do need that snickers after all.

Peace out.

A guy in Leduc has a sling shot and really likes the bike. Looks different for sure.

haven't heard about them dropping the the slingsnot.
Rick you would think being a mod you would try to be less opinionated. Talk about true polaris hatred. Every chance that arises you are sure to be on the bashing bandwagon. Go doo!

??? I don't mind polaris, i've owned polaris and no problems........ I poke fun at them all .... And its a free world, i have opinions and am free to express them!!!

No problem , sometimes you and others i am sure don't get or appreciate my sarcastic sense of humour.
Other times there is more to the story that is not always available , let's say ...

Like it or not I call it the way I see it , you may disagree and although I bitch about it , that is great too.

Over the years in business and life I have learned to respect the ones who take a stand and tell it how it is ( TO THEM) anyways ...
The ones I have a lot less respect for( some on here) are people who say nothing to you , BUT have a story for everyone else ...
Those ones piss me off...

I will however admit that I often go too far to get my point across . However it is not my intention to put anyone down , rather simply my being overzealous convincing other people to see it my way....
Those that know me well ..... Know my intention is well placed .

Now I need to go fire up that popo....!!

In all seriousness, this is a big part of the sport ,poking fun at a brand , a rider , a breakdown or whatever ...
It will be sad day when you can't tell your buddy his new toy sucks ( in jest) and the one you have is better !

Let's not let the political correctness overtaking our world ... Creep into the things we are passionate about !
