So I have sold many sets of track clips for the 2.6 and 3" Polaris tracks. The clips have got guys from the 1000 to 3000 kms mark no problem but then the next problem is showing up. Some guys are breaking the internal rods and my track is starting to split where is runs over the rear wheels. The first sign is the track starts to ratchet and you tighten it. Next it is loose again. Now I am seeing cracking in the rubber when it travels over the rear wheels. Sucks but these tracks are done at 3000 kms for sure. Looks like its back to a 2 ply track for me.

Good to know. Thanks for the update.

Guess at this rate I'll get about 5-6 years out of it. Haha.

Re: Polaris 2.6" Track

After one season of riding 1500 km my track is done. Havw to tiggten it almost every ride edges worn ratches even if piano string tight. Polaris really needs to step up and put on some better drivers and a track that holds up.

3 weeks now on my axis and 540 miles on the odo and the track is still like new. It's a 3" and I try to keep it under 45 mph on the trail. I was going to clip mine but was told not to by my dealer. They will hook me up if it flys apart.

Broken rods. I bet your wheels are buldging out the back. If you run loose the middle driver will break rods when it ratchets. Lots of sidehilling breaks the rods on the side. 2000 miles seems to be the best I can do on a stock track. Last year 1600, this year 2100.

Are you making them into flex edge tracks like Doo?

Yeah, the single ply tracks aren't meant for durability...

What a joke. You pay dearly for these sleds and crap like this happens!. Tracks should last more than a season or two. IMO

I am I doing something wrong I have about 5600k on three sleds two poo's and and a t3 and so far no tracks issues. I think I do intend to slow down on the trail (and have)with the poo 3 inch cause I loose stuff and there is a delamination speed in the manual. I did get ice on my drivers though and started to rachet. But knocked it off before abusing the sled.

I run four wheels on the back on my Pro to avoid this. My sleds always on its rear boogie wheels hitting trees, stumps and rocks the odd time, plus it's better rolling resistance. My 2c.

I run 2 the dealer does not even let the sleds out. I also added 2 to the t3. Frankly the holes are predrilled on the polaris and may have been on the t3. Should be standard equipment polaris just like a tether. I miss the dess key from the doo.

🤣🤣 clip your track yiur dealer is full of ****. The warrenty is not from the dealer id from Polaris corperation. My dealer tried to warrenty my track and polaris said NO it is caused from "excessive side hilling". Spoke to Tyler at Backus Racing he said every track he's tried to warrentywas tyrned doen including one if his . These tracks are a joke clip it asap. Just over 1000km mine started ti show wear by 1500 it'salmost junk

Re: Polaris 2.6" Track

I don't think it has anything to do with trail speed i am the slowest on the trail in our grop i take it easy till i get to evevation cuz i run alot of turbo sleds and allways have food scratchers. My t3 has twice tue miles as my 2.6 pilaris and the t3 track is mint

k i have 1100 is there any particular wear spots i should be looking at? rode the mighty 850 and it had a lot of missing lugs and one member in the group had to be pulled down because the track was fawked. I think anytime weight is lost reliability suffers to some extent.
