My 2.6 looked the same on outside of rails and also every unclipped outer lug started to separate from the track, tried for warranty and denied. Track was not abused, only 1 torn lug. 2 weeks later tore it halfway across on a deep snow climb, roped it up, limped to trail where it completely tore across. Towed out on the skid behind an old exciter....
Tried for warranty again but told to pound sand. What a piece of
At least I got 3500 km out of it

Here is what will happen if you run your track tension to Polaris specs. after 3000+ kms. I have decided to go back to the 2.4" lug track. Anybody got a set of 8 tooth drivers near Calgary that I can buy?

Do you suggest a better tension? I set mine to spec before this season. The dealer did not set up anything on it. Turds.

Probleum is polaris drivers suck so tracks will ratchet easy. Upgraded drivers are needed by polars big time

UPDATE! Just got a call from the dealer that Polaris is going to warranty my track! So I will:

1. Fully clip the new track.
2. Change to 8 tooth drivers.
3. Run the track a bit looser now, than Polaris spec.

Hope this combo is the key.

I hear you, this is my second time complaining to them about this track. I was shocked to hear the good news along with that they are replacing my motor mounts too. They did tell me that the track is back-ordered though. Hope they don't change their minds while I wait. My sled has over 3000 kms on it.

To be clear, they would not warranty for the track window damage, it is because the wheels are now ripping through the belt. Is this happening to yours at 676 miles?

My track is wearing on the unclipped area. I'm thinking the paddle is flexing causing the track to twist a bit then that's what is contacting the slider causing the wear. Didn't sound very promising from the dealership so I will probably clip the rest of the track this summer. It on a 155, 2.6"

This same damage is very common and Polaris is not warranting this damage even though it should not happen. Clip your track as early as possible to extend it's life. Even doing so will not protect you from the back wheels tearing through the single ply belt. This though can be warrantied as I am told. Now if you run the track looser than spec it may not happen but then you may ratchet and break rods. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
