2007 Rev with over 6000 k on it.
Last weekend on McBride at km 7 it it stopped running. Pulled a plug and a cylinder was dead.
Pulled it apart and the rings were welded to one of the pistons.
Rebuild time.
It's not about the cost or the hassle, it's about the time I get to spend with my son.

Ordered my replacement 800 Rev Jugs, Postons etc. Should arrive at Sherwood Park Service Mon/Tue. Install (time is always an issue) completed by next weekend.
Thanks to Summitric for sourcing/sharing where he got his same parts for rebuild at Christmas.
Sooo it looks like I should be riding on our trip Mid Apr. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1395363860.549253.jpg

Kind of looks like a "4 corner" sieze, did it get rode hard from the parking lot with little to no warm up by any chance? :D

Lots of warm up, slow ride to pay for trail pass, slow start.
6000 km on motor so it was time.

Those pistons did not die from old age. Something went wrong. Either overheated or no oil. New pistons won't last long if you don't figure out what caused the problem.

My bet would be overheated... Can almost see the 4 corner burn, which is usually insufficient warm up, or overheated .... Stuck termostat or broken thermostat like Justin's, would be my bet

Guess I'll be changing the thermostat as well.
