In them hills.
Trying to decide on what sled to buy for next year.

I want to see lots of pictures of bulkhead failures so I can decide for myself wether the brace is gonna help or not.

I don't care where you get the pictures from just post them up.

Don't talk, just pictures. Lol

I don't trust a ****ing thing anyone says about these sleds anymore.

You can have something with a slight bend and still use it.....a crack is a failure period. Take it from a Non Destructive Tester.....big difference

The bulk head on the G4 looks to be very thin and extremely brittle, so the colder the temperatures it will obviously be more susceptible to crack with little impact?!?!
Take it from a guy that ran equipment for over 40 winters down to -55 temps!!

In my instance my sled bulk head bend slightly pushing one ski half an inch back, I think most with cracked G4 bulk heads would agree that would be a crack for there bulk head, the difference being I can still ride mine with no worries and fix it when I either get the money, when the season is over or when I go to sell it for that matter. Unless it's a really severe bend like the one pictured it's probably not gonna lose to much strength, it'll just make the bend a minor week point.

Now if it was cracked every bump I hit or rough trail I ride is gonna split it more and more and if not it'll definitely shift around And I'm gonna have to fix that before I ride it for sure.

Obviously an XM bulk head bend that bad is gonna be equivalent to a cracked G4. I think the main thing guys are trying to get at is that in a side by side crash into the same object at the same speed etc. The G4 will have much more damage while an XM May still be rideable.

All speculations tho because obviously no one is gonna do that test. And it's possible that some G4 bulk heads are stronger than others and some XM bulk heads are stronger than others, but they should be generally the same.

My personal opinion is that some were cast different than others some how because I see all these broken ones and I don't think people are making these up but at the same time I've seen a G4 smoke a tree and come out with nothing but I slight bent lower a arm.
