Pictures from Sugarbowl Feb.1/11

Has anyone been out to Onion lake this year, I was hoping to find something a little more hilly with a small bowl or two within a half hour of Nordegg. I heard the sugar bowl has been pretty dicey so far this year.

yeah i was at onion lake the day before i went the sugar bowl, the trail up was decent, as soon as we got up to the alpine it was really good, there was 4 feet of powder in the trees and barely anyone has been up there, the bowl had enough snow to climb in which was pretty sweet

You didnt happen to go south into the next valley??? or just went in behind onion??? wondering which bowl you went in??? west of the wooden bridge?

we went into the one that you can see from the meadow thats in the pic if the pic works, we also tried to go up the creek that goes into the other bowls but the snow was super deep and the two guys i was with werent that good of riders and kept getting stuck so we gave up and played in the bowl for a bit

I'v decided, I'm headed out to onion on Saturday. hopefully we get some good condition, We've got some experienced rider's and some rookies, so we will see what happens. I'll post some pics next week.

yeah it should be good, there has been new snow since i was there and no chinooks so i would imagine you'll have a good day,

the one in the pic is what I call high mark hill,,,,,,,, the deep snow you where in is righty creek,,,,,, thats where imdoo'n and his buddies left us trying to get into the upper bowls,,,, got in there after walking the trail to pack it,,,,,,
