Rainguage on the week end. 3-4ft of fresh. Trail head snow is skinny with crusty snow below tree line. Rain!!!!! Higher elevations getting pow pow!!
Summit creek Cabins FB page has video!

3-4' of fresh?!?!! Lets be realistic here.

3-4' of base, maybe 6-8" of fresh.

People need to make a snowmobile dictionary because everybody blows the "new" snow out of proportion.

I was up their yesterday. Their is 3 feet of SETTLED snow on top of a HARD rain crust that is 5 inches thick. The snow is not bonding with that layer at all and was quite heavy. Maybe 8 inches of fresh powder as it snowed most of the day and was windier than heck by mid afternon. With warm temperatures today it may pack it down a bit more and hopefully it bonds. Supposed to be warm for the next 2 days and clearer at night and then colder on Thur/Fri ( Really cold with snow), so if it drops really cold before it snows we will get a good frost level on top of that , then snow.
So be careful out their when ya go, especially rain Gauge! Rolling hills were similar on Sunday lots of open water on creeks and drainage runoffs. New cabin is very nice Congrats to the Fernie club for that gem
