Overheating question

Getting the clamps off the old tstat is the worst lol

Use screw clamps and add zip tie to each joint for back up

As tex said removing clamps looks like the worst part. You would also need to remove the secondary and shaft for access
and then bleed the cooling system of air. Dean at mad motorsports makes an even bigger thermostat with a higher flow than the powder freaks

I have a secondary tool for my sons XP, do u know if it will work on the T3?

Huh, secondary shaft in the way???



Never removed mine, don't think it was in the way, had a good 4 inchs away

Don't need to remove secondary shaft.
Actually an easy job installed the Powderfreaks thermostat this morning.

Remove Hood, Air box and can
Cut clamps off (Clamp at the back end of the thermostat bit tough to get at)
Capture antifreeze (Remove front hose from thermo)
Remove thermo
Slide clamps over hose
Install new thermo
Reverse procedure and done.
Be sure to bleed system properly to remove any air.

Took me about 2 hours, if I had to do it again I'd say could haver done in an hour or so...

Heading to the hills tomorrow, we'll see how it works..
