No kidding. Is it my imagination or a full moon but is the world fawked in the last year? Trudeau, Notley, Trump in the US, refugee's, sewage dumped in the water, backlash against oil, Leaf lickers reproducing faster than rabbits, Bruce Jenner woman of the year, Bill Cosby a rapist? Jaysus.....whats next?
Its another reason i'm glad I didn't have kids.Is it my imagination or a full moon but is the world fawked in the last year? powering the country's economy is a lot different than pumping raw sh!t into the environment. the economy needs oil and gas...there are plenty of options for sewage treatment. apparently the energy sector is a hell of a lot more scrutinized. or maybe it's just that BC's sh!t don't stink? Before you all go pointing finger's, remember there is always three more pointing back. We are all in this together and i don't recall anyone province living in a bubble.
Everyone needs to shape up their crap.....some more then others, so be careful about calling the kettle black. I don't see any fine examples here.

If you believe that man made GHG's are affecting the climate you are a misguided fool. The levels of CO2 in our atmosphere in PPM are lower than they've been in the past on many occasions. Do some research. Is there a case to be made about man made pollutants like SO2, lead, arsenic, absolutely, CO2 no. It's alarmist crap being pushed onto the ignorant and uneducated of the world to justify a transfer of wealth from the first world to the third world.
Ever notice that the biggest supporters of climate change ( decaprio, gore, Bono, Suzuki) are all uber rich and person for person among the biggest contributors of pollutants into the atmosphere? Their argument that they buy green energy credits to offset their lifestyle is like saying you get to throw your garbage out on the street because you bought the guy on the next street a new garbage can.
"What is your position on the climate-change debate? What would it take to change your mind?
If the answer is It would take a ton of evidence to change my mind, because my understanding is that the science is settled, and we need to get going on this important issue, that’s what I thought, too. This is my story.
More than thirty years ago, I became vegan because I believed it was healthier (it’s not), and I’ve stayed vegan because I believe it’s better for the environment (it is). I haven’t owned a car in ten years. I love animals; I’ll gladly fly halfway around the world to take photos of them in their natural habitats. I’m a Democrat: I think governments play a key role in helping preserve our environment for the future in the most cost-effective way possible. Over the years, I built a set of assumptions: that Al Gore was right about global warming, that he was the David going up against the industrial Goliath. In 1993, I even wrote a book about it.
Recently, a friend challenged those assumptions. At first, I was annoyed, because I thought the science really was settled. As I started to look at the data and read about climate science, I was surprised, then shocked. As I learned more, I changed my mind. I now think there probably is no climate crisis and that the focus on CO2 takes funding and attention from critical environmental problems. I’ll start by making ten short statements that should challenge your assumptions and then back them up with an essay."

This dude has put a lot of time and effort into researching the topic and I have not finished reading it all but it seems quite factual and well researched.
Going to start reading now. I appreciate the link.
I'll openly say, that I truly believe you can find something on the internet that supports any argument you want. I do not know everything for sure. My belief in rising CO2 levels, and climate change is based on mostly anecdotal evidence/personal experiences over a relatively short lifespan. I guess I'm just tired of being told to "research things" because what it boils down to is that you can research until you are blue in the face and two different reasonably intelligent people, can draw vastly different conclusions based on whichever sources they choose to trust. How do we decide who to trust in this day and age of the internet, when anyone can spin up a blog and start talking. *shrug*
I'll take a rich d-bag actor such as DiCaprio over say BP or Exxon, any fawking day of the week. In my mind, DiCaprio has nothing to gain by spouting off, he is already rich, and set for life while the BP's of the world have everything to lose.
