Nope - not mix ratios - we are talking - why does this jug of amsoil saber say 100:1 on the front of it in huge numbers? Do you know why?//uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200222/885fc494a341e98d2d933d9025a8f68d.jpg
To each their own for sure - I've got a 2004 kingcat 900 and I run amsoil dominator in it also - only thing I've run in it - I just kinda compare a stand up jet ski to a snowmobile - they almost see the same type of abuse - I learned alot about stand up jet skis this summer by completely rebuilding one and by talking to people south of the border from places that the jet ski industry has a way larger following than Alberta Canada - I'm still trying to get to all the info I can - wether or not a 100:1 oil will foul more plugs than a 50:1 oil at the same mixing with fuel ratio - I'm also learning that their are some synthetic 2 stroke oils that actually burn with the gasoline and some that resist burning and the pros and cons to thisI’ve noticed you bring up the south quite frequently. How about something the south doesn’t have that we do. -5, -10, -20 deg temps. Cold starts. I use amsoil dominator in everything. To each his own I guess.
Absolutely - if you actually use the warranty then use the dealer oil for sure - I've never cared about warranty - I got the 1 yr warranty and most of the warranty got used up while sitting in the garage in the summer - maybe some people would run the amsoil 100:1 saber in their sled if it wasn't $16+/L - the shellbourne 100:1 oil is about $12.32/L - I'm gonna start running it in my 2015 xm 174 dirty banana - in my oil tank and in my turbo oil reservoir - who knows maybe my banana will go to 10,000kms boosted - we will see//uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200223/b46eec5c040834f961c521bd8f100cb7.jpg
They directly talk about Mix ratios more than once but never about filters. No doubt an oil rated for 100:1 will have much better lubricity. Amsoil interceptor is widely used at 50:1 and is known to be a great oil. But as the guys stated if they tell you to run specific oil and don’t is your savings worth the free engine he’s getting at 1500 miles unlikely and I’ve even heard of “them” dipping resivoirs before putting through warranty claims.
Ya I'm aware of the difference from air cooled to liquid cooled - why do you think the recommended oil mixing ratio of a 1983 Honda Odyssey is 32:1There is a difference in 2 stroke oils for air cooled vs liquid cooled I am not a chemist. The label says so.

My guess is because it's an air cooled 2 stroke motor - the extra oil helps it from piling up - also what do you think the mixing ratio of a 1995 Honda cr250 liquid cooled dirtbikes is - ya it's also 32:1 - the ratios depend on the motor and it's intended use - NOT on liquid cooled and air cooled - I've worked on countless 2 stroke motors from old as all hell to a brand new 850 Doo - I'm talking from real world experiences here not from just being a keyboard warriormy guess is this is before the epa cracked down hard on emissions and we actually injected enough oil. Fuel injection and technology have made great strides since then.
Could you point out where the two stroke oil is on this website?
Ok nice - some real world experience right there - I love it - see all "you people" do not need to be running the cat oil or the Doo oil or the Polaris oil - you also can be like me and niner and run a better oil for cheaper and you get more - it's a no brainerI’ve ran the shelbourne oil now for 3 years. Works as advertised. Run in it my turbo pro and in my Alpha. Won’t run anything else.

That's cool - your just paying too much for a 3.78L jug is allI have always ran Amsoil, all the way back to my 91' indy 500, never lost an engine yet. All my 2-strokes get amsoil.
I can probably get a certain scent - I'll find out MondayCan you get in strawberry scent like the Ipone 2T snow racing oil I run?
Ran Ipone since I bought my Polaris 850, 1600km.
Yes. Story?Anyone remember blue marble oil from back in the day?
