Holy ****e. What a game!!

How do you like your Loge seats, SBR? We sat in the Loge at Barclay's in Brooklyn for a Nets game and loved it. I feel like our 3rd row seats this year are way better than the past 5 years at the old arena. Same seats, same everything, but they are vastly superior.

Seats are awesome. We overlook the luxury suites and have an excellent view of the ice.

Bad game by the Flames. The new coach messed around with defensive pairings that were already proven.

Thought the penalty shot call was 10-ply.

That rookie flame kid best get some sleep... Friday might be a long night....

He's pretty young so probably not. It's fun watching him figure out where the line is.

Young or not when you cheap shot with intent to injure ...repeatedly .
He better keep his head up !
Or on the other hand , they ( oilers)cheap shot Johnny hockey ..
Sooner or later Thachuck is going to get a beating he won't forget for a very long time . ..
He is a joke ....

Tkachuk is not some goon. I never saw an intent to injure and neither did the league otherwise they would have done something about it. Yes he may cross the line a time or two and he is young and will learn but he is far from a joke.

On another note the Flames look like garbage and make the Oilers look like the next cup champs. Elliot hasn't been able to make the saves that he has too and the whole team has looked disinterested so far, feels like a repeat of last year....Also some questionable moves by the new coach so far. We don't have the time to be messing around like this otherwise we will be continually chasing the whole season again.

MacD is other worldly ... When Drai & pool party get going .. Look out .
Johnny hockey is ... A one trick pony . Once you figure out he just waits to cherry pick .. He is easy to stop .
Flames work hard ,but don't have anywhere near the upside of the oilers ....
The increase in size of the oilers have really changed their make up.

MacD though is a game changer , he is simply unstoppable ....

And how's that $48million man working out for flames? That's a lot of money for someone that is probably a second line player?

Are you referring to Gaudreau? If you are the contract is 40.5 million which is extremely good value for a player like him, but don't take my word for it just look at what all the hockey analyst say and not a single one will disagree. Plus I am not sure how many second line players finish top 6 in NHL scoring, but hey if you want to call him a second line player with those kind of numbers then that's a huge compliment haha. Is he better than McDavid? No, but he is a really good player that missed all of training camp and is rusty.

The Oilers do look like a completely different team this year though and the Flames look just as bad as last year. Its a long season though and there is still 80 games to play so time will only tell who is the better more consistent team.

Unfortunately I cant disagree with much of what you have said here haha. Except for Gaudreau he isn't a one trick pony, he can burn you in many ways. But right now he is relying on his old tricks and not finding new ways to do something. He is a smart player and will figure it out. Him and Monahan appear to be a little out of sync right now because they both didn't really get any playing time in together before the season started. But they will pick it up soon. As for the rest of the team I am unsure of right now.

Well the oil keep rolling along..,,

What a job by CHIA.... Lowe & mact should just go away ...
It's early , but holy hell that is solid structured hockey . Nice to see no one pushing the oil around any more ...
Looks like they are turning north in a hurry !
Full credit for the hall trade too .
And Mcd is .... Unstoppable.

I started being a hockey fan when I met Kevy. It's now been 8 years. This is the best hockey I can remember! 6-1-0 - I just. no words

I will watch when they are competitive, sadly the last 10 years have been brutal.
I would have to point out in all fairness though , had it not been for the ineptitude of Lowe & mact ..., Connor would be flying around on a different team...

On a side note , the usually boisterous flames fans on here are rather .... Quiet .
