No offense ................actual yes offense........i wouldnt let you lay a patio stone for an entrance to a doghouse, let alone a hand float or power trowel, ........I will do my concrete like that, because i know wtf im doing, and as far as fixing my work...........dude you might be fixing concrete but sure as ch!t isnt mine

Nuff said .. pulls tampon out and gently rams it into cyles mouth to stop the verbal diareaha form falling out.View attachment 128181

I will just laugh and not correct it the next time you give someone retarded advice on concrete.

And ya, if you know as much about it as what was in that thread, it's fawking scary your doing concrete. You know what a power trowel is? Holy fawk that's amazing. I guarantee you i've poured more concrete in 1 month then you will pour in your life. And i've NEVER had to replace one because of workmanship issues. Maybe done as much in one day LOL! O well, keep doing it wrong and I will keep raking in big money fixing the garbage.

I just can't help it, i'm going to be a dick. Didn't you just say your so slow you might have to sell the quad? And you know concrete? I am booked solid for 4 months atleast and turning down work because I couldn't be bothered. I wonder who knows concrete, because there is TONS and TONS of work out there for people who know what they are doing........And yes i'm working on concrete right now. Want some numbers of crappy jobs I didn't want?

You asked for it........

Am I getting a conscience or something? I almost feel bad taking such a easy jab. Or is it because it was just too easy?

O and you better send a letter to the AB gov if you think I don't know concrete. Just today I was bidding another job for them! Only been working with them for 5 years now.....

No im not booked for four months in advance, i live in a tiny town, not edmonton, now calgary where i can run around doing a slab a day, collect the pay and dissapear . And yeah , i know what a power trowel is, a hand float, power screed, hand screed, bow float all them fancy tools.....used every one of them, nothing hard about it, or anything to do with concrete actually other then edging perimeters on bad knees.. Nice part about concrete is you dont need a brain really in order to do the work. I'll forward a blueprint for the jasper EMS center to you one day with some questions and just a lil itty bit of math for good measure, then we compare apples and oranges kk? deal???

A pour takes 8 hours? Really? A 7M driveway it's poured in 30 mins tops......Fawk even 50M is done in well under 2 hours. Last time I checked concrete pours can be ANY amount. I only work as much as I want most of the time, I have zero interest working 12 hour days 7 days a week. Right now i'm working a straight 40. And the current job is by the hour so I don't give a flying fawk how long it takes, I am told to make it take as long as possible. That's why i've got plenty of time right now. And really I post a lot? I find it funny. And how long does it take to rattle off a post? I've been home from work for well over 2 hours.....And I just stopped getting paid half hour ago, jealous?

Good luck with that, won't happen. First off, if we work for a general (only work for one) we bid the job and get a timeline and get specs and we run our own ch!t. If someone says something they would be told to fawk off, we manage our own guys. The only company like that we did work once for Mcfarlane before they went out of business we did hudsons in west ed mall. But they are such a nightmare we don't do that BS anymore.

wait wait....we're talking the quality for a driveway......i can find a crew of retarded 10 y/o's and teach them in a day to do a drive way and i'm not a concrete guy.......and you do a 50 M pour complete in 2 hours......with what finish? chit i can do a broom finish with a $10.99 push broom from home depot and make it look good....if your going to talk about the quality of your work talk about work that requires quality. a properly places and finished slab, done properly, with a decent finish is a full days work......dont talk or argue about quality if your doing sidewalks and driveways for a living, talk to me when your a real placer

You don't need a brain, yet I can't go a week without people complaining about how bad other people screwed up a job. Or even see a builder do any proper concrete work. It's not rocket science, but you better know what your doing. And there is a HUGE difference between awesome work and ok work (and most people accept ok work from hacks). Good enough work that if you call either concrete company we use, we are first on their list to recommend EVERY time because of the work we do. We don't collect pay and run, actually atleast 50% of our work is from referrals or repeat work.

I don't really care, i'm in it for the money short term and nothing else. I have framed and finished plenty of houses, additions, renovations, it's not hard. A real carpenter who can hand make cabinets etc is a real carpenter, or other crazy hand made stuff they use to do. But today most of them aren't real carpenters, compared to the old timers who knew what they were doing.
