Oil dripping 2018 850’s?

Noticed that I have some oil dripping from under my new 850. Haven’t ridden it yet but don’t expect oil to be dripping. Dealer says it is on all of them from the factory because the over filled. Doesn’t sound quite right. Anyone else having these issues?

Holy crap if that isn't a Rookie sales response . I would say no they're not supposed to drip oil .

Based on the color I'd say its coming from the exhaust. Leaking exhaust gasket of some kind probably.

I'd bet at the pipe to y-pipe connection.

Noticed some on the belly of mine when I brought it home, looked all over when I put the skid plate on and couldn't see any sign of where it came from.... My assumption would be from assembly they might gravity bleed the oil line from the tank and some would end up in the belly of the beast...

Wasn't there a recall on them for chaincase bolts being stripped out? Gear oil leaking from the chaincase maybe? Something to check on is all I'm saying.....although it is a little black for gear oil.

To black to be new oil. Like said it’s from the exhaust.

Seen this on Snowest also. It’s just your exhaust leaking oil. Will wash off in fresh pow.

This is normal and due to the amount of pile that was used in the pipe during assembly. Join the 850 FB page and you will see that this is not an isolated thing. 1 good heat cycle and it will clear

No recall for stripped bolts in chaincase. You are thinking of the jackshaft support bolts that may break because of manufacturing process.

Mine left a baseball sized spot on garage floor too! Over oiled from factory for initial break -in .Definetly coming from exhaust so take it out and run it.Nothing to worry about. Just make sure to clean it up before your Polaris buddies come over!!

I noticed the same on mine sitting in the garage, its the exhaust donut leaking... I hope it cleans up like everyone is saying

Mine did same thing last year. I think it's a combination of oil put in during assembly and excess oil in the engine during break in. When I pulled everything apart to install bumper, skid plate, etc last year it was coming from the y-pipe gasket. New 18 is doing same thing. Went away after the first ride
